Weare Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Child In Merrimack
A Weare man is facing indecent exposure and sexual assault charges against a child under the age of 13.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Weare man was arrested last week on felonious sexual assault and indecent exposure charges involving a child. Ronald P. Meltzer, 36, of Weare, was arrested on three counts of indecent exposure, one count of felonious sexual assault and one count attempted felonious sexual assault — all Class B felonies.
Merrimack police say received a complaint in connection with the charges on March 15. During their investigation they conducted several interviews with the victim and witnesses. Police say that Meltzer reportedly exposed his genitalia to a minor under the age of 13 on at least three occasions. In one such occasion, Meltzer reportedly asked the child to make contact with his genitals, which the child did, according to Merrimack police. During a second incident, the child refused to touch his genitals, police say.As a result of their investigation, police received a warrant for Meltzer's arrest, and he turned himself into the Merrimack police station on Thursday and was released on personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court - South on May 9. All chargers against him are punishable by up to seven years in prison, in addition to fines.
