ZBA to Table Joppa Road Cell Tower Petition

The Merrimack Zoning Board of Adjustment, when it meets tonight, will be tabling the petition for a proposed cell tower at 121 Joppa Road until June 25.

The reason, due to an error on the applicant's list of abutters, is that two abutters were not properly notified of the hearing, according to board Chair Fran L'Heureux.

New Cingular Wireless PCS LLC – a mobile voice and data communications services company – has applied for a special exception to the zoning ordinance to allow construction of the telecommunication towner in the residential and aquifer conservation districts.

Abutters will be re-notified ahead of the June meeting, Community Development Director Timothy Thompson said.
