Some interesting and useful things to know courtesy of Patch.

2. In Case You Missed It: Milford Patch mapped out all of the outdoor dining destinations in town. Find out where you can sit and have a bite without a roof over your head.

3. Calling all sponsors: Looking for a way to promote your business? The Milford Oval during Pumpkin Festival has several sponsorship opportunities available. Get your company banner and logo in front of 30-35,000 people, plus on the festival website and in the official program (circulation 32,000). Call Tracy at 249-0676 to discuss how your company can benefit from this high traffic event.

4. Patch Fact: Did you know: The human heart creates enough pressure while pumping to squirt blood 30 feet (9 meters).

5. Bricks for beauty. The Milford Recreation Department wants your help to make Keyes Park even more beautiful. Work will begin this year to enhance the pavilion at the Milford park with a pergola, brick patio, picnic tables and landscaping. For a small donation of $50.00, you can purchase an engraved brick to be included in the project’s brick patio area. Show your support or to recognize someone with a brick gift. Local businesses and clubs/organizations who want to help with a sponsorship or volunteer to assist with landscaping please call Milford Recreation at (603) 249-0625. The deadline for brick orders is October 31, 2013. The brick order form is online at www.milfordrec.com.
