Armed Men Rob Heroin Addict In Shaw's Parking Lot
Milford Police have made three arrests in the case, including the victim.
Investigation into a robbery in the Milford Shaw’s parking lot earlier this month has lead to felony charges against both the victim and his attackers.
Milford Police received an anonymous call about a fight and possible stabbing in a black Lincoln MKX within the Shaw’s parking lot on Nashua Street. Police later found the victim going door-to-door around Foster Road asking for water.
The victim was identified as Kenneth Martel, of Milford, who told police he was robbed, beaten and kicked out of a vehicle on Foster Road. Police then found heroin and a hypodermic needle on Martel and arrested him for possession of a controlled drug.

Martel was charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug (class B felony), reckless onduct (class B felony), and breach of bail conditions (class A misdemeanor). He was recently arrested for drug possession after police defused a homemade bomb threat on Orange Street.
After investigation, police arrested Jason Smolinsky, 30, of 10 Tricnit Rd, New Ipswich and Jeffery Pollock, 43, of 6 Orange St, Milford in relation to the robbery on Tuesday, Dec. 4. Both were held on cash only bail, and were subsequently arraigned on December 20th, in the Milford District Court.

Smolinsky is charged with armed robbery (class A felony), criminal threatening (class B felony), and being a convicted felon in possession of a deadly weapon (class B felony). He is being held at Valley Street Jail on $75,000 cash/surety bail, and is due back in the Milford District Court on January 2, 2013, at 9:00am for a PC hearing.
Pollock is charged with armed robbery (class A felony). He is being held at Valley Street Jail on $50,000 cash/surety bail, and is due back in the Milford District Court on January 2, 2013, at 9:00am for a PC hearing.
Martel is being held at Valley Street Jail on $10,000 cash/surety bail. On Dec.17, 2012, Martel waived PC and his charges are being forward to the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office for indictment.
