Milford Announces Immediate Outside Water Ban

Towns and cities are issuing outside water bans due to the low amount of rainfall

MILFORD, NH — In a Nixel alert sent Saturday, the Milford water department announced an outside water ban, effective immediately.

The statement sent offered a short statement: "Water Dept. is issuing an outside water ban. Water levels throughout the state are very low with no rain in the forecast."

No other details were included for exceptions or rules.

The town of Merrimack was the first to issue a outside water ban on Friday, and other municipalities are expected to add water bans.

The Milford Water website says their mission is "To provide exceptional water and sewer services through responsible and creative stewardship of the resources and assets we manage. To fulfill our responsibility of protecting the environment and the health of our customers. To strive to improve the quality and efficiency of our service to the community."
