Milford Man Charged With Theft of Scrap Metal

Merrimack Police arrested a Milford man on Saturday on a warrant for theft for allegedly stealing scrap metal from a local business and selling it at a shop in Manchester. 

Douglas Morris, 46, of 504 Nashua St., Milford, was arrested on Dec. 15 on a single count of theft by unauthorized taking. Police say the investigation began on Oct. 19 whena business owner reported the theft of a large amount of scrap metal.

Morris was placed on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack District Court on Jan. 15 to answer to the charge.
