Athletic Triple Threat Named Student Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to Dina Pitsas of Milford for being recognized by the NHIAA.

The NHIAA has announced Dina Pitsas is the female student athlete of the month for April.

Pitsas is one of the outstanding athletes recognized for their excellence both on and off the field of play. She "exemplifies the ideals and values that are the cornerstone of school based athletics and are positive role models in their school and community."

The Milford High School senior is a three sport athlete with soccer, basketball and outdoor track under her belt. She has won a Character Award, Wendy Hieisman Stat Award, All State Selection in soccer and basketball and has 1,000 career points in basketball.

She has also earned a 4.28 GPA. 

“Dina is a wonderful student athlete who is well respected among the entire school community," said Marc Maurais, Athletic Director, Milford High School in a press release. "She led the basketball team to the state semifinals, Milford’s first appearance since 1983.  Her leadership throughout the season and outstanding sportsmanship makes her a role model for others.  An All-State selection in soccer and basketball, her character is top notch and she will be greatly missed.”
