MILFORD, NH — The Assumption College Office of Student Activities has announced that Carley Holtshouser, of Milford, is currently serving as co-president of women's studies club for this academic year. Holtshouser is part of the Assumption College Class of 2021 and a Milford High alumna.

Members of the women's studies club seek to educate students on the value of gender equality and how it is contextualized in modern society.

"At Assumption, students are encouraged to engage in one of over 60 groups and organizations on campus that serve an array of students' interest such as a student newspaper, environmental sustainability, event planning, and many more," said Kaitlin Bevins, director of student activities and leadership development.

"Participation in one or more of the clubs and organizations not only broadens students' social circles, but invites personal growth, development of leadership skills and even opportunities to hone their skills or discover a vocation," Bevins continued. "These co-curricular opportunities complement students' classroom work where they can apply skills learned in the classroom to enhance a club or organization."
