A teen is missing in Amherst and her family and friends are seeking the public's help in tracking her down.
Police in Amherst say the teen has been classified as a runaway and could not provide any more information at this time.
However, the above poster is being shared across Facebook, as family and friends attempt to locate the 15-year-old who was reportedly last seen very early Thursday morning.
Caitlyn Larocque is described as 5'2", 100 pounds, with bright red hair and blue eyes. She has her bottom lip pierced on both sides and one piercing in the top lip. She also has a brown mole on her upper lip. According to the poster, she was last seen wearing a bright green hooded sweatshirt, red and white pajama pants and a big black hat. She is a sophomore at Souhegan High School.
She was last known to be with a teenage male named Josh Peterson in a silver Volvo.
Caitlyn's mom, Kim Dion, said she learned after her daughter slipped out of the house sometime shortly after 12:30 a.m. this morning, that her daughter had been awaiting the arrival of Peterson. She believes the pair may be headed to New York, where she said Peterson was last known to be staying.
Dion said Peterson, 18, is originally from Amherst, but has been living away from his parents who live in town. They may be traveling with another teen Dion believes is from Milford.
Dion said she has tried calling her daughter numerous times however as of at least 6:40 a.m., Caitlyn's phone had been shut off.
Anyone who has any information on Caitlyn's whereabouts is asked to please call Amherst Police at 673-4900.
