2. SELECTMEN TO MEET: The board will meet tonight at 7 at Milford Town Hall.
3. MHS FOOTBALL WINS: The Milford High School football team knocked out Hollis Brookline on Friday by a score of 35-8. The team is now 3-1 and will take on Windham Oct. 5.
4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1994, a 22-year-old Texas A&M University student and born-again Christian named Ronald Shamburger kills Lori Ann Baker, a young woman whom he had briefly dated. Shamburger broke into Baker's College Station home as he had on several prior occasions, and was surprised to find Baker home and asleep. He shot her when he heard her roommate enter the house, killing her instantly.
