Music at Emerson Park, PSNH Ending Program and a Sunny Day

2. Let the music play. The Sounds of Souhegan concert series continues tonight with the Amherst Town Band. Join them at Emerson Park in Milford from 7-8:30 p.m. Look out for the Amoskeag Strummers next week.

3. In Case You Missed It: Sanford’s Community Commitment program is giving a local non-profit $500 each month. You can head over to their website and vote for which one you want to receive a donation. Project Shakespeare was the Sanford’s Community Commitment winner for June, 2013.

4. PSNH ends program. Public Service of New Hampshire is ending its program to fund renewable energy, according to WMUR. It allowed customers to pay a bit more to help fund alternative energy sources, but only 148 customers enrolled.

5. Fact of the Day: Sometime around the year 1478, Leonardo da Vinci drew out his plans for the world's first self-propelled vehicle. More than 500 years later (in 2004), the Institute and Museum of the History of Science in Florence, Italy, built a working model of Leonardo's invention.
