A senior housing development has been cleared by the zoning board and will need planning board approval before construction begins. Ducal Development is planning to build 24 two-bedroom units, both attached and detached, at 15 North River Road. The 4.2 development will be available to age 55+ seniors. Community Development director Bill Parker said that he estimates construction may start in late spring, early summer if the developers get board approval. The 4.5 acre property also hosts a historic brick home called the Hutchinson House, which will remain intact during construction. Long range plans for this house could include additional senior housing, said Parker. Milford boasts many options for senior housing, including The Mill at Milford, Ledgewood Condominiums and Cahill Place.
