Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?
Jeremiah plays baseball on a national level and started doing so at age 10. He started at Milford MCAA at age five with T ball, and after one season of rookies went right to minors. He plays now with NHPL, a select travel team. He was invited this past summer to step up to the
11u New Balance Select Black team at a tournament in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where his team came in second after seven days of playing.
An accident happened to a player slated to play the next week on the NB Select 12u Red Team and Jeremiah was asked to fill in, so he played another week.
In October, he met up with the NB Select 11u Black team again at the Cal Ripken Experience in Aberdeen, MD, where the team took second place after playing seven games in three days.
In one of the games, Jeremiah was awarded a Cal Rip ken player of the game pin in a game at Aberdeen with the Vienna, Virginia, Mustangs. He went three for three with one walk, one single, and two ground rule doubles. He stole more than six bases. The team won 26-2.
The best thing about baseball is the grin it puts on Jeremiah's face. His former coach said he never saw a kid love the game so much. A recent coach at Aberdeen praised his good sportsmanship when the team lost the last game for the championship. Jeremiah and the team still wore big grins for the team photo.
Jeremiah also plays for the Bedford NH Little League and was on their All-Star team. He is in 6th grade at Milford Middle School and turned 11 in September.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?
None of his success has gone to his head. He is a good sport.
Keep up the great work, Jeremiah Ngari!
