Troopers Make 102 Arrests Over Thanksgiving Weekend
3,828 motor vehicle stops made over four-plus days resulting in 28 DWI arrests and hundreds of other tickets, citations and charges.

Last week, New Hampshire State Police held a pre-holiday press conference to warn of the dangers of distracted and impaired driving and to serve notice that they'd be out in force over the long holiday weekend.
Troopers held true to their word.
Though there were two fatal motor vehicle crashes in the four-plus day C.A.R.E Life Saver Weekend effort, state police – beginning Wednesday, Nov. 27 and extending through Sunday, Dec. 1 – made a total of 3,828 motor vehicle stops, which included 793 citations for speeding and 2,539 warnings.

Additionally, 91 citations were issued for hazardous violations and 22 drivers were apprehended driving after suspension. There were a total of 80 other criminal arrests made through the weekend as well. Of those charged, 28 were booked for driving while intoxicated.
There were also several erratic and impaired operators who were identified and apprehended as a result of phone calls by responsible citizens reporting unsafe and erratic operation.

In a prepared release, NH State Police offered their appreciate the for the public's assistance in removing impaired drivers from our roadways.
Troopers continue to be committed to ensuring safe travel throughout the state and will continue our efforts to reduce traffic collisions in the upcoming holiday season.
