2 Charged in Temple Street Robbery Attempt

Originally reported as a stabbing late Thurday night, 2 men are now charged with attempted robbery.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery attempt reported late Thursday night on Temple Street.

Paul Williams JR., 19, of 22 Broad Road, Concord, was arrested at 29 Temple Street, Nashua, for Robbery, a class B felony.

On August 8, 2013 at approximately 9:35 p.m. patrol officers responded to a local residence for a report of a robbery. The victim reported that two male men assaulted him while attempting to obtain money from him. The suspects then fled on foot prior to police arrival.

Uniform Patrol Officers obtained a description of the suspects and searched the area for them.

Members of the Nashua Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing unit along with Uniformed Officers located one of the male suspects from the description provided. That man was identified as Williams. The incident was furthered by Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division.

A second suspect was developed and was identified as Frank O’Riley, 20, of 29 Temple Street, Nashua, New Hampshire. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for O’Riley also charging him with Robbery, Class B Felony.

O’Riley was later arrested at his residence on August 9, 2013 at approximately 9:12 a.m.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment exclusive of fines.

Williams is being held at the Nashua Police Department on $7,500 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on August 9, 2013.

O’Riley refused bail and is being held at the Nashua Police Department pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on August 12, 2013.
