4 Charged in Armed Robbery at Shell Station
The store clerk said the three Mass. men, each armed with knives, rushed the counter.
The Nashua Police Department arrested four people in connection with the armed robbery of the Shell Gas Station on Amherst Street early Friday morning.
The four charged were identified as:
- Anthony Alvarez, 18, of 25 Mount Vernon St., Apartment #1, Fitchburg, Mass.,
- Jahnyi Morel, 19, of 142 Hazel St., Fitchburg, Mass.,
- Devonta Searcy, 21, of 272 South St., Apartment #3, Fitchburg, Mass.,
- Kayli Hoff-Shine, 18, of 90 N. End Road, Townsend, Mass.;
Police were called to the Shell station at midnight for the report of an armed robbery. A clerk reported that three men entered, each armed with knives, and rushed toward the counter.
Police said that at least two of the men went behind the counter and demanded cash and property.
They left with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. The clerk was not injured.
Shortly after the robbery, a patrol officer in the area of Amherst Street at Broad Street observed a motor vehicle with three people who matched the description of the robbery suspects, police said.
The three were arrested without incident at about 12:30 a.m. May 23.
Hoff-Shine was identified as the driver and was arrested without incident, according to police.
A class A felony is punishable by up to15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. The four are being held on bail, pending arraignment at the 9th
Court in Nashua.
