5 Arrested In Nashua Police Granite Shield Crime Sweep

The Nashua police Granite Shield drug sweep program is a state-funded initiative targeting opioid distribution.

NASHUA, NH -- Five people were arrested in the latest Nashua "Granite Shield" crime sweep Wednesday, police said. Those arrested were charged with crimes involving cocaine, methamphetamine and oxycodone, according to police. The Granite Shield program is a state-funded initiative targeting opioid distribution in communities across the state.

It was the fourth Granite Shield sweep in Nashua this month. Combined, 25 individuals have been arrested. These were the individuals (pictured above) arrested Wednesday:

Alexander Rivera Aponte, 36, of Nashua, was charged with selling cocaine (second offense) and held on $10,000 bail.

Gerard Lemieux, 58, of Nashua, was charged with two counts of selling oxycodone and released on bond.

Dennis Higgins, 53, of Hudson, was charged with methamphetamine possession and released on bond,.

Devonto Soto, 25, of Nashua, was arrested on a warrant for theft of a gun.

Kevin Dumont, 31, of Nashua, was arrested on a warrant fort theft.
