Nashua Grandmother Died Of 'Sharp Force Trauma To The Neck'
Jacob Abram, the victim's grandson, has been charged with homicide in connection to the death. The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday.
NASHUA, NH — The autopsy of Cynthia Toupin found dead in Nashua has been classified as a homicide.
Police responded to 22 Auburn St. on Thursday and found the 71-year-old deceased in her apartment.
The autopsy was completed Monday by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Mitchell Weinberg determined the cause of death to be “sharp force trauma to the neck” and the manner of death was a homicide.

Jacob Abram, 27, the grandson of the victim was arrested for homicide in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Saturday. He was arraigned this morning as a fugitive from justice in Lowell District Court. Abraham waived formal extradition to New Hampshire on Monday and the court ordered that he be held without bail pending transport to New Hampshire.
Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR ambulance were dispatched to Auburn Street for a medical emergency just before midnight on Thursday.

Responders were advised to stage away from the scene until Nashua police made sure the scene was secure. After a short time, firefighters and medics were cleared to make entry and it was determined the person was deceased and the scene was secured by police. The building, which is located on the corner of Locust Street, is a multi-unit building and appears to have at least four apartments.
Saturday Nashua police detectives were at the scene throughout the day processing evidence from the crime scene. The Nashua police set up their crime scene van with two pop-up style tarps where evidence was removed from the house.
It is anticipated that Abraham will be arraigned via video in Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District on Tuesday.
Authorities said they believe everyone involved has been identified and there is no danger to the public. They said the investigation is ongoing and active, and no further information is expected to be released at this time.
