Armed Robbery At Nashua Convenience Store: Police

Nashua police said Luis Santos robbed Lake Convenience Store.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man robbed a city convenience store at gunpoint Monday, according to police. Luis Santos, 46, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, according to Nashua police Captain James Testaverde.

The robbery happened at Lake Convenience Store on Lake Street Monday at about noon, Testaverde said.

"The clerk reported being robbed and the suspect had fled after receiving money from the register," Testaverde said in a statement. "(Santos) was described as a male wearing a black mask, brown jacket and armed with a black handgun."

Santos then fled on foot, according to Testaverde. Officers tracked him down in about three hours.

Santos refused bail and was held at the Hillsborough House of Corrections pending an arraignment Wednesday at Hillsborough County Superior Court.
