World-renowned singer-songwriter John Gorka will perform at Simple Gifts Coffeehouse on Saturday, December 8.
Currently based in Minnesota, Gorka got his start at a neighborhood coffeehouse in eastern Pennsylvania.
The artists who had at one time inspired him--Suzanne Vega, Bill Morrissey, Nanci Griffith, Christine Lavin, and Shawn Colvin--soon became his peers. In a stunningly soulful baritone, Gorka sings songs that are thoughtful, inspired, and human.

The concert begins at 7:30 pm. Simple Gifts is located in the Unitarian Universalist Church at 58 Lowell Street in Nashua. Tickets are $20 at the door and in advance, $10 for children 13 years and younger. For more information, go to www.uunashua.org/simplegi.
