Fire in High Voltage Area at Amphenol
Fire was quickly knocked down once power was shut off.

Nashua fire crews responded to a fire at Amphenol, 91 Northeastern Blvd., on Aug. 14 just before 3 p.m.
Nashua Deputy Fire Chief Michael O'Brien Jr. said the fire was located in a high voltage electrical air pressurizing unit, which remained energized until the power was shut down. First crews on the scene used dry chemical extinguishers to attack the blaze. Once the power was off, the fire was quickly extinguished, O'Brien said.
Heavy smoke required extensive ventilation.

Companies responding were Engines 6, 2, and 5 as well as Tower 1 and Ladder 2, as well as a unit from AMR. Merrimack Engine and Hudson Ladder were on standby.
The fire is considered accidental at this time, and remains under investigation by the City Fire Marshal's Office.
