Gina Carballo Named Board VP for NH Theatre Awards

Gina Carballo recently started her own professional theatre company, Artists Collective Theatre, in Nashua.

Gina Carballo has been named Vice President of New Hampshire Theatre Awards (NHTA) Board of Directors.

Carballo has served as a volunteer and participant in NHTA practically since its inception. She was one of the NHTA's first "Awards Girls," an affectionate title for the role she played welcoming winners to the stage as she presented their trophies on Awards night. Her involvement with NHTA steadily increased, and has served on its Operations Committee since 2006, as well as having served as the head of the Planning Committee for pre- and post-event parties and gatherings.

"I am extremely proud of my years of service to the NHTA, as an Awards Girl, an Operations Committee member, and now as Vice President,” Carballo said. “Regardless of my title, I will always be a strong advocate of the NHTA, and will continue to work hard to grow our brand and mission throughout the state of New Hampshire."

“We are all extremely blessed to have Gina as a full-time Officer on our Board, and we look forward to seeing the game-changing things she will accomplish,” said Matty Gregg, NHTA’s President.

Carballo is also an accomplished actress who has been performing throughout the state for more than 15 years. For the past 3 1/2 years, she has worked with M&M Productions in Nashua, and Theatre Kapow in Derry. Along with five other theatre professionals, Carballo recently started her own professional theatre company, Artists Collective Theatre, now the Artist in Residence company at the Hunt Building in downtown Nashua.
