Green Envy Spa & Salon Grand Opening Today

Welcome Green Envy Spa & Salon to the neighborhood, celebrating a grand opening June 13 with a ribbon cutting with Mayor Donnalee Lozeau at 124 Main Street at 11:30 a.m. 

Shop owner Sharon Parent acknowledges it's not the first "green" salon in the city – in fact, it's not the first green salon on Main Street, but Parent says Green Envy brings something a little different than its competitor, Verde Salon, just across Main Street.

"We're a full service spa – more than just hair, we do skin care, massage, mani-pedi – everything, and our Aveda line of hair and skin care products are all plant and nut based, from hair color to styling products and makeup," said Parent, who has been in the beauty business for 20 years.

She has operated a Green Envy salon in Manchester, at the Wall Street Tower, 555 Canal Street, for three years. The time was right to expand so she looked to Nashua, where the Main Street location felt like a good fit.

There are five employees who specialize in hair, nails, makeup, skin care and massage – and not just for the ladies.

"We do scalp conditioning for men, too – even bald men; just because they don't have hair doesn't mean their scalp doesn't need some attention," Parent said.

Hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday. Guests are treated to fruit and muffins, organic coffee and tea selections, and a drink of the month while receiving salon and spa services.

Womens cuts range from $45 to $60; coloring services range from $50 for balayage hair painting to $115 for full highlights; mens cuts range from $5 for a mustache trim to $25. Manicures and pedicures range from $25 to $45; massage services range from $45 to $60.
