Help United Way/UPS 'Stuff the Truck' Sept. 11 for Neighbors in Need
Donations will go to organizations that have outreaches in Greater Nashua.

On September 11, 2013, join United Way and UPS for a “Stuff the Truck” event, donations to benefit Nashua-area residents in need. Starting at 7 a.m., the UPS Flame Truck will be accepting donations at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 West Hollis St., off of Everett Turnpike, Exit 5. While over 300 employees from Greater Nashua volunteer for United Way’s 22nd Annual Day of Caring, stop by with non-perishable food or other items to help our friends and neighbors who use local social services, until 5:30 p.m.
Donations to food banks drop tremendously during the summer, and the New Hampshire food bank reports having only six days’ worth of food on its shelves. With tough economic times, Americans are leaning a lot more on food banks and shelters to help keep them safe and fed. To help out, our Stuff-the-Truck collection is seeking donations of the following:
- Non-perishable food items (especially canned meats, rice, pasta, cereal, and canned fruits and vegetables)
- Personal care products
- Cleaning supplies
- Paper products
- Diapers
Please only donate new items to ensure the best quality for the recipients. All donations for the “Stuff the Truck” event will be sorted and donated to local agencies, including shelters, food pantries, and transitional housing programs.
