Lowell Man Dies After Being Pulled from Fiery Wreckage
Police said speed was a contributing factor in the accident.
New Hampshire State Police have identified the man killed in a crash on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua early Saturday morning.
Yan O. Denysenko, 23, of Lowell, MA died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred at 4:17 a.m. between exits 5 and 6.
Upon arrival, police said a Massachusetts registered 2001 Ford P31 hatchback in the northbound high speed lane was fully engulfed in flames. A trooper and a Nashua police officer were able to remove the lone male occupant, later identified as Denysenko, from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner.
Troopers have determined from witness statements and roadway evidence that speed was a contributing factor to the crash.
Traffic was temporarily delayed in the area northbound from Exit 5 for approximately two hours while the scene was documented. Troopers were assisted on scene by the Nashua police and fire departments and the state Department of Transportation.
The crash remains under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police–Troop B. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Trooper J. Wood at 603-223-4381.
