Man Charged After Allegedly Strangling Woman

Johnny Young was held on $25,000 cash/surety bail.

Johnny Young, 23, of 25.5 Amherst St., Apt. 2, was arrested Oct. 21 at about 2:25 a.m., charged with domestic violence for allegedly trying to strangle a woman.

Following an investigation, Young was charged with Domestic Violence: Second Degree Assault, Class B Felony, three counts of Domestic Violence: Simple Assault, each Class A Misdemeanors, and two counts of Resisting Arrest or Detention, each Class A Misdemeanors.

Young is being held at the Nashua Police Department on $25,000 cash/surety bail pending his arraignment at the 9th-Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on October 22, 2013.

 A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Each Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in the County House of Corrections, exclusive of fines.
