Man Charged After Woman's Neck Slashed with Knife

Mohammad Salimullah was held on $250,000 for allegedly injuring woman with knife during domestic dispute.

Mohammad Salimullah, 36, of 18 East Pearl St., Apt. #4, Nashua, was arrested Aug. 13, charged with one count of first degree assault, a class A felony; and one count of second degree assault, a class B felony.

On August 13, 2013 at 4:15 a.m., Nashua Police responded to a residence in downtown Nashua in reference to a domestic violence complaint. A woman was allegedly assaulted by her husband with a knife and suffered what police described as a serious laceration to her neck which required approximately 20 stitches to close.

She also suffered a laceration across her fingers of her left hand. She was hospitalized for a short period of time and was released the same day.

Upon further investigation by the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, the suspect was identified as Mohammad Salimullah and placed under arrest.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Salimullah was held at the Nashua Police Department on $250,000 dollars cash, pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court-Nashua District Division on August 14, 2013.
