Man Charged In Nashua Main Street Shooting Appears In Court
Jalen Miller was arraigned in Hillsborough County Court on several charges connected to a Nashua shooting May 13.

NASHUA, NH — Jalen Juwan Miller, 26, of Nashua was arraigned in Hillsborough County South via video Monday for charges related to the alleged shooting on Main Street in Nashua.
Miller faces felony first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, and two felony counts of reckless conduct.
According to the court affidavit on May 13, 2020, at 3:21 p.m. Nashua police responded to the area of 75 Main St. for the report of shots fired. Multiple witnesses reported seeing two black men leaving the area on foot and identified a possible victim getting into a green Ford Focus.

Police found two spent .38 Caliber shell casings in the grass at Bicentennial Park near the Main Street Bridge.
In reviewing video surveillance from several businesses, it was determined that two men were involved an altercation. The two men were described as a tall man and a shorter man wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants. The man described as the tall man was seen fleeing the scene after the shorter man limped off, suffering from an injury.

The male who limped off was located and found to have a gunshot wound to his right foot.
Court paperwork said Nashua police reviewed several videos from surveillance cameras and a dashboard camera from someone who witnessed the shooting. Nashua police also detailed several people being interviewed.
The victim with the gunshot wound to the foot was interviewed. The victim “J.L.” stated that he was in a vehicle with his girlfriend on Main Street and exited the car and confronted Miller. The victim told police he took a swing at Miller but missed. Once they separated, the victim accused Miller pulling out a small handgun firing and striking him in the foot, according to court documents.
Miller, also known as “J-Rock,” according to previous interaction with police, was accused of fleeing the scene.
On May 14, police obtained an arrest warrant for Miller, and a search warrant for his home in Railroad Square apartment building. The search warrant was executed, and on May 15, Manchester police arrested Miller. He was taken to Nashua, charged, and held.
Court paperwork said the victim received medical attention after the shooting and had several broken bones in his right foot.
Miller is being held at Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
