Man Charged with Pawning Off $2K in Stolen Jewelry
Corey Lake of Litchfield is charged with receiving stolen property.
A Litchfield man was arrested Sunday for allegedly pawning off several pieces of jewelry valued at nearly $2,000.
Members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Operations Bureau arrested Corey Lake, 25, of 2 Nightingale Lane, Litchfield for receiving stolen property.
The Nashua Police Department investigated the incident stemming from a burglary in Litchfield on Sept. 17, 2013. During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Lake had pawned several articles of jewelry in Nashua valued at a total of $1,750.
In conjunction with the Litchfield Police Department, members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operations Bureau furthered the investigation and recovered the stolen jewelry.
Lake’s bail was set at $ 30,000 cash/surety pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on Feb. 24.
