Man Faces Charges after 110 MPH Chase, Crash
Massachusetts man arrested for felony reckless conduct, aggravated DWI and disobeying an officer on Everett.
A Massachusetts man who drove over 110 mph on the Everett Turnpike in an attempt to elude police before crashing into a guardrail was arrested and charged with felony reckless conduct, aggravated driving while intoxicated and disobeying an officer May 3.
State Police said Colin P. Bell, 24, of Millis, Mass., was not injured after crashing into the guardrail in a 2006 Subaru.
He was taken to Troop B in Bedford where he was processed and given a breath test which revealed a breath alcohol content of .18, over twice the legal limit, State Police said.
Bell was held on $10,000 cash bail and is due in Nashua Circuit Court on May 5 to answer to the charges. Police said the Subaru was destroyed from the crash and was towed from the scene.
State Police responded to the Everett Turnpike after 12:30 a.m. for a report of a hazardous driver, and that the motorist was operating with a flat tire.

Police said the vehicle was located north of Exit 5 and when a trooper activated his cruiser's lights the driver accelerated to over 110 mph.
Within a minute, the driver crashed into the center guardrail just north of the Nashua-Merrimack town line.
