Mini Planet Fitness Opens Inside Boys & Girls Club Of Greater Nashua
The 442-square-foot club has 10 pieces of cardio and strength equipment and was a gift from two local franchisee groups.

NASHUA, NH — The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua is now home to its very own "mini judgment free zone."
That is the tagline Planet Fitness uses to describe its national chain of fitness clubs. On Thursday, a 442-square-foot Planet Fitness opened up inside the Boys & Girls Club, located at One Positive Pl.
The new fitness center — which opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony — was a surprise to the kids at the Boys & Girls Club. Planet Fitness CEO Chris Rondeau was in attendance for the unveiling.

The center was opened by the Taymax Group, a local Planet Fitness franchisee group, in collaboration with CDM Fitness Holdings, an SBJ Capital Portfolio Company, which donated fitness equipment.
The mini Planet Fitness is branded in Planet Fitness' signature purple and yellow and features 10 pieces of cardio and strength equipment. The fitness center will be available to Boys & Girls Club members ages 13 and older.

"We know this fitness center will provide enhanced fitness opportunities and help build our kids' confidence and self-esteem, enabling them to reach their full potential," said Craig Fitzgerald, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua. "There is also no better time for this after the past three years have reinforced the critical importance of living a healthy lifestyle, both physically and emotionally. We are grateful to Planet Fitness for providing access to fitness for our kids."
According to Planet Fitness, the unveiling of the mini club is an extension of the company's national campaign, the Judgement Free Generation, which is designed to end bullying and build youth self-confidence through fitness, while spreading inclusivity and kindness.
The company said the mini Planet Fitness will offer teenagers the chance to exercise in an inclusive, encouraging environment, without the risk of being judged or bullied.
"We're so proud to have this opportunity to work with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua and provide a welcoming and accepting place for all club youth to work out and stay active, enhancing all the amazing services the club already offers our community," said Timothy Kelleher, CEO of Taymax Group. "I grew up in Nashua and it's inspiring to see this mini gym open for local kids."
