Trauma Alerts After Crash On Northeastern Boulevard In Nashua
2 good Samaritans, who stopped to assist a woman who drove into a utility pole, were struck by a vehicle; 3 were taken to the hospital.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, police, and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole on Northeastern Boulevard and Murphy Drive on Saturday.
People stopped to assist the person involved in the accident, and while assisting at the initial accident a vehicle traveling south on Northeastern Boulevard slammed into the people helping at the accident. The vehicle originally involved in the accident was also struck and was significantly injured.
Nashua fire immediately called for mutual aid requesting ambulances to the scene from Pelham and Hudson to assist Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR Ambulance.

Multiple trauma alerts were requested at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and St Joseph’s Hospital for three people with serious injuries.
Two of the people most seriously injured were the good samaritans who were outside the car, and the person that originally crashed into the utility pole was also transported with injuries. The man driving the car involved in the second crash remained at the scene and was not transported to the hospital.

Nashua police are investigating the accident. Initial information from witnesses at the scene is that intense solar glare appears to be a significant factor in causing the crashes.
The names and conditions of those injured have not been released at the time of this posting.
