Nabbed for Taking 42 Pairs of Jeans from Mall
Thet Naung, who was already in police custody, will be turned over to immigration officials.

Thet Naung, 33, of 317 South Broadway Street, Lawrence, Mass., was arrested May 6 at Nashua Police Department, charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a class A felony, for the alleged theft of 42 pair of jeans from the Pheasant Lane Mall.
Nashua Police patrol officers responded to Sears at the Pheasant Lane Mall on March 23 to take a report of the alleged theft. The investigation was furthered by Detectives in the Criminal Investigation Division and a warrant was issued for Naung, who was already in custody at Rockingham County Jail on charges outside of Nashua.
The clothing items have a combined value in excess of $1,500, which elevates the crime to a felony.

Nashua Police Lt. Michael Moushegian said Naung also has an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement "detainer" on him, meaning ICE would assume custody of him for an immigration-related charge.
