Nashua Granite Shield Crime Sweep Nets 3
Nashua police announced their latest Granite Shield crime sweep; the state-funded program targets opioid distribution.

NASHUA, NH -- Nashua police on Monday said three people were arrested in the latest "Granite Shield" crime sweep. The accused were charged with crimes involving heroin and marijuana, according to police. Granite Shield is a state-funded police program targeting opioid distribution in New Hampshire. The sweep was conducted Friday and Hudson police assisted, according to Nashua Police Lieutenant Brian Kenney.
These were the individuals arrested:
- Steven Hannagan, 65, of Nashua, was charged with heroin possession and falsifying evidence.
- Nicholas Iannuzzo, 19, of Nashua, was charged with prescription drug possession and marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
- Becky Hewes, 34, of Nashua, was charged with selling heroin.
All the individuals were released on bond pending arraignments.

It was the second Granite Shield sweep this month; three more were arrested November 2.
Nashua police said anyone with information about illegal drug activity can contact their narcotics hotline at 603-594-3597.

Last month, police conducted three Granite Shield sweeps, netting a combined 24 arrests.
