Nashua Man Accused Of Physical, Sexual Assault Of Female Acquaintance

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Sunday and is accused of physically and sexually assaulting a female acquaintance several times after breaking into her home, the Nashua Police Department said.

Francisco Castillo, 27, was charged with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence, which are special felonies, burglary, a Class A felony, and eight counts of domestic violence-simple assault, which are Class A misdemeanors, according to police.

Castillo was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, the Nashua PD said.

According to police reports, on Dec. 3, members of the Nashua PD's Uniform Field Operations Bureau responded to a residence after a report of a sexual assault.

At the scene, officers learned the suspect, Castillo, was known to the victim and that Castillo had left the area prior to the arrival of the police, authorities said.

Detectives from the Nashua PD's Special Investigations Division were assigned to the case, the department said.

During the investigation, detectives determined that Castillo had broken into the victim's house and physically and sexually assaulted the victim several times, before leaving on foot, according to the Nashua PD.

The department said that on Sunday, members of its Uniform Field Operations Bureau located and arrested Castillo.
