Nashua Man Pleads Guilty To Selling Meth, Firearms Possession

Philip Wetmore was arrested in Feb. 2022 after selling meth to an individual working for the FBI. He is due to be sentenced in March.

CONCORD, NH — A Nashua man arrested after selling crystal methamphetamine to an individual cooperating with the FBI, pleaded guilty to multiple charges in federal court Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney's Office District of New Hampshire announced.

Philip Wetmore, 32, was convicted of drug trafficking and possessing firearms in furtherance of his drug trafficking, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Wetmore is not legally allowed to carry a firearm, according to authorities.

Wetmore is due to be sentenced on March 22, 2023.

According to court documents, in February of this year, Wetmore sold approximately 81 grams of crystal meth to a person cooperating with the FBI. One of the sales took place at a residence and the other at a retail store in Nashua, police said.

After the second drug sale, the FBI arrested Wetmore as he drove out of the store parking lot. Wetmore was found to have a loaded firearm on his person, records show.

Later, the FBI executed a search warrant on Wetmore's vehicle. During that search, the FBI found approximately 671 grams of crystal meth, a second loaded firearm and other items associated with drug trafficking, according to authorities.
