Nashua PD Arrest 2 Men Accused Of Using False Info To Purchase Items

NASHUA, NH — Two men were arrested in Nashua on Tuesday and are accused of using false information to obtain credit cards, which were then used to make purchases, the Nashua Police Department said.
Darrel Regular, 62, of New York City, and Chuck Genoa, 34, of Alta Monte Springs, Florida, both face multiple charges relating to alleged crimes in Nashua. Authorities said the pair also are suspected of being involved in large-scale retail fraud along the East Coast of the U.S.
Regular was charged with three counts of identity fraud; pose as another, which is a Class A felony, and two counts of misdemeanor theft by deception, police said. Regular was held on $2,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday, according to authorities.

Police said Genoa was charged with identity fraud; pose as another, and theft by deception, a Class B Felony. He was held as a fugitive from justice due to active arrest warrants from several other jurisdictions, according to authorities.
Genoa refused bail and also was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, the Nashua PD said.

According to police reports, on Tuesday, the Nashua PD was contacted by Connecticut State Police about alleged retail fraud activity that was taking place in Nashua. Regular and Genoa were named as suspects, the department said.
During an investigation, the Nashua PD observed the suspects on surveillance video at multiple stores near Amherst Street: TJ Maxx, 590 Amherst. St., HomeGoods, 12 Northwest Blvd., and Marshalls, 28 Northwest Blvd., police said.
Members of the Nashua PD's Uniform Field Operations Bureau and Criminal Investigation Division responded to the area and located both Regular and Genoa, the department said.
At the TJ Maxx store, police learned the suspects both had opened up credit cards using fraudulent information, the Nashua PD said.
According to the department, a further investigation showed that both suspects had opened up several credit card accounts using false information, and they allegedly had purchased merchandise and prepaid cash cards using the fraudulently obtained credit card information.
Regular and Genoa were taken into custody by members of the Nashua PD's Uniform Field Operations Bureau, the department said.
