Nashua Police Arrest Suspect In Marshall Street Stabbing

Joshua Shea, 31, of Nashua, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, police said, accused of killing Evangelos Ioannou, 32.

NASHUA, NH — The Nashua Police Department has arrested a Nashua man in connection with an early Tuesday morning stabbing on Marshall Street, police said.

The victim, Evangelos Ioannou, 32, suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Police arrested and charged Joshua Shea, 31, of Nashua, with second-degree murder, for repeatedly stabbing and slicing Ioannou to death with a knife, police said.

If convicted, Shea could serve life in prison.

An arraignment is expected to be scheduled on Wednesday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

At 1:20 a.m., Nashua Police received multiple 911 calls from 4 Marshall St. Upon arrival, officers found Ioannou suffering from numerous stab wounds in the third-floor hallway.

The Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Jennie V. Duval, conducted an autopsy on Ioannou and determined the cause of death was multiple stab wounds and ruled the death a homicide.
