Nashua Woman Charged with Stabbing, Punching Boyfriend

The incident occurred early Sunday morning.

A Nashua woman was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with stabbing and punching and her boyfriend.

Sherri Tassi, 30, of Nashua is charged with first degree assault, simple assault, criminal mischief and obstructing the report of a crime. She was video arraigned in Nashua District Court and held on $10,000 cash bail.

Nashua Police said they received a report of a 911 hangup and possible domestic disturbance from a city residence at 3:16 a.m. Sunday. Officers responding to the home learned that a male victim had been assaulted by his girlfriend. The victim was punched and stabbed within the residence and the phone was disconnected when he called 911. The victim sustained a minor stab wound and was treated and released from the hospital.

The first degree assault charge is a Class A felony and is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. The other three charges are Class A misdemeanors, punishable by up to a year in jail.
