Counting down from 8 -- to represent how many years it took to make it a reality -- Mayor Donnalee Lozeau wielded her giant ceremonial scissors once again, this time to officially "unleash" the city's new members only dog park with a ribbon cutting.
Many of the 157 members of the Dog Owners Group assembled at the park, located at 1 Groton Drive, to celebrate Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
