Police: Child Brought To ER In Nashua Had Suspicious Injuries

Investigators accuse Jessica Laferriere, 31, of Manchester of assaulting a child under the age of 13; cops say child had multiple bruises.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police were notified of a child who was brought to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center on Sunday with what police call “suspicious injuries.”

Police learned that a family member had brought the child to the emergency room with significant bruising on multiple parts of the child’s body. An investigation by police determined that the injuries happened in Manchester.

Manchester detectives made contact with Jessica Laferriere, 31, of Manchester. She was accused of felony second-degree assault for allegedly causing bodily injury to a child under the age of 13. Laferriere also faces a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Laferriere was arraigned today in Hillsborough Superior Court North and released on personal recognizance bail.

This case remains under investigation according to police.
