Police Investigate Fatal Accident Involving Bicyclist

Nashua Police are investigating an accident involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle, described officially as "serious."

Nashua Police Sgt. Brian Kenny would not confirm reports that the accident was fatal.

However, WMUR said police had confirmed that a 45-year-old woman had been killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer.

"We're still investigating, and aren't ready to release the details. If that is the case [that is is a fatality] we'll release that information through the proper channels," Kenny said.

The accident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. and traffic to Celina Avenue at Amherst Street was closed, Kenny confirmed.
