Pre-Thanksgiving Powerball Jackpot To Be Just Shy Of $700 Million, New Hampshire Lottery Says
No one has won Powerball since September. The one-time pre-tax cash payout is slated to be around $315 million.

CONCORD, NH — It will undoubtedly be quite a “Friendsgiving” this Thanksgiving if someone from the Granite State wins the Powerball on Wednesday night.
According to the New Hampshire Lottery, no one has won the jackpot since early September, when two winning tickets were sold in Missouri and Texas for the $1.8 billion drawing. Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said the jackpot was estimated to be about $681 million with a one-time cash payout of $315.7 million, before taxes.
“For $2, players can buy a ticket for a chance at the second-largest Powerball jackpot of the year,” he said. “With each sale helping drive revenue to be returned to public schools in New Hampshire, buying a ticket is a win-win — you’ll have a chance at a life-changing prize, and we get to return more money to the schools. Visit your local retailer or NH iLottery to get yours before Wednesday night. More than $600 million sure would be something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.”
