Rodney Morse: Gifted Storyteller with a Zest for Life

Service Aug. 20 at the Nashua Center.

NASHUA - Rodney D. Morse, 60, of Nashua, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, after a short bout with cancer.

As a gifted storyteller, Rodney often held his audience captive with the tales he would weave. He had a zest for life, taking pleasure from good food, blues music, woodworking and anything with a motor. Rodney worked for a number of years as a carpenter and mechanic.

Rodney received support the past few years from the Nashua Center. All who have worked for Rodney, through the Center, have had the pleasure of knowing his wit, insight, talents and sincere kindness to all he encountered. He has left an indelible mark on many people.

Rodney was born in Manchester to the late Joseph Morse and Helen Schrader on Jan. 3, 1953. He is survived by his mother, Helen Schrader; a daughter, Angel of Weare; a son, Eric of California; his twin brother Richard of Merrimack; a brother, Joseph of North Carolina and a brother Donald of Maryland. He is also survived by his ex-wife Diana Reedy of Derry, and ex-wife Amanda Elmgren of California, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary, of Tilton.

Rodney was loved by all who knew him.

Services: There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Friends and family are all invited to attend a celebration of Rodney's life Tuesday, Aug. 20, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Nashua Center, 18 Simon St., Nashua.
