Tesla Bursts Into Flames After Witnesses Say It Hit A Tree In Nashua

Firefighters arrived at a car on Amherst Street fully engulfed. The driver was safely removed from the 2022 Tesla by witnesses.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, police, and AMR Ambulance responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a tree on Amherst Street on Saturday.

While en route just after 4:30 p.m., several callers indicated there was possible entrapment and a vehicle on fire. Firefighters arrived to find a 2022 Tesla that had left the roadway, struck a tree, and was fully engulfed in fire. Witnesses to the accident stopped and assisted in removing the driver from the vehicle before the car burst into flames according to Nashua Fire.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, and medical treatment was given to the driver by AMR medics.

Nashua Fire said, in a social media post, "These electric vehicle fires pose some unique challenges and fire crews were on scene for an extended time to complete extinguishment.”

The injuries and condition of the driver are unknown. Nashua police are investigating the accident which appears to involve only the Tesla vehicle.
