MA Truck Driver Accused Of Negligent Operation After Turnpike Crash
Watch: An overhead sign was removed after truck driver Jonathan Soto of Worcester, MA, crashed in Nashua Thursday. He had minor injuries.
NASHUA, NH — New Hampshire state police, Nashua Fire Rescue, and AMR responded to the F.E. Everett Turnpike near Exit 4 Thursday for a truck in the northbound lane that lost control and struck a large sign support.
Upon their arrival at about 6:30 a.m., they found a white 2023 Western Star 49X flatbed truck carrying a dumpster that had slid into the median and caused significant damage to the upright support of an overhead sign over the southbound side. The driver was treated by AMR medics and transported to St. Joseph Hospital with what state police described as minor injuries.
According to state police, the truck had traveled too fast for the existing road conditions, lost control, and crashed into an overhead sign structure. State police identified the flatbed truck driver involved in the crash as Jonathan Soto, 36, of Worcester, Massachusetts.
