Two Face Multiple Charges in Burglary, Firearms Theft

Nashua Police: The two also reported a burglary at their apartment, which never occurred.

Nashua Police on Tuesday arrested two people in connection with an April burglary and theft of firearms and a television, and filed additional charges for a burglary at JC Penney on June 1.

Police identified the accused as Mark LaFountain, 21, and Chelsea Williamson, 26, both of 32 Kinsley St., #7, Nashua. The charges:

  • LaFountain is charged with two counts of burglary, Class B felony; theft by unauthorized taking, Class A felony; criminal liability to the conduct of another to robbery, Class B felony; false report to law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor; and receiving stolen property, a Class A misdemeanor.
  • Williamson is charged with two counts of burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, robbery, and false report to law enforcement.
Police said that firearms and a television set were reported stolen from the downtown residence on April 23. A second burglary was reported several days later by Williamson and LaFountain, and investigators learned that LaFountain had sold the property stolen from the first burglary to a local pawn shop, according to Nashua Police.

On June 1, police responded to the JC Penney at 310 Daniel Webster Highway for a robbery. Police said that Williamson had used physical force, including having "punched the loss prevention officer three times," during the theft at the store.

The burglary at their residence never occurred, which led to the false report charge, police said.

A Class A Felony is punishable by up to 15 years, exclusive of fines. Each Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years, exclusive of fines. Each Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to a year in county jail, exclusive of fines.

Williamson and LaFountain were being held on $50,000 cash bail, pending arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua, police said.
