Two More Arrested on Heroin Charges

The arrests come following a series of heroin related arrests last week.

Two Nashua residents were arrested Friday on heroin possession and sales charges.

Jordan Duran, 36, and Griseliz Fernandez, 36, both of 5 Denton St., Apt. #2, were arrested by members of the Nashua Police Department's Uniform Field Operations Bureau and the Problem Oriented Policing Unit on Friday on multiple drug related charges.

Duran was charged with three counts of unlawful sale of a narcotic drug, heroin second offense; one count of possession of narcotic drug with the intent to distribute, heroin second offense; and one count of felon in possession of a deadly weapon. Fernandez was charged with unlawful sale of a narcotic drug, heroin second offense; possession of a narcotic drug with the intent to distribute, heroin second offense; and endangering the welfare of a child.

The arrests were part of a month long investigation into the sales of heroin in the area. The charges were the result of narcotics purchases utilizing undercover officers and/or confidential informants as well as a search warrant conducted on their residence on Friday.

Duran refused bail pending his arraignment on Monday at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court. Fernandez was held on cash bail pending her arraignment on Monday in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court.

The arrests came the day after a three-day drug sweep that resulted in the arrest of 14 other individuals.
