Two People Seriously Injured After Ejecting From Nashua Rollover Crash

A vehicle appears to have left the roadway and catapulted over a small pond ejecting two occupants in the area of Amherst Street.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire, police, and AMR ambulance were dispatched to the area of Amherst Street and Somerset Parkway for a single-vehicle rollover Monday.

While responders were en route to the incident at about 1:45 a.m., they were advised two people had been ejected from the vehicle, and an additional AMR ambulance was dispatched to assist. Arriving units found a vehicle that appeared to have been traveling south on Somerset Parkway, crossed Amherst Street, and continued through a parking lot. The vehicle then struck several objects and appeared to have catapulted over a small pond, resting on the other side of the water on its roof.

Firefighters and AMR medics initially asked for the status of a med-flight helicopter but then transported two people to local hospitals. It is unknown the age of the victims at this time; both appeared to have severe injuries from the accident.

Firefighters and police searched a large area in and around the pond to ensure no other victims were involved.

Nashua police cordoned off a large area with crime scene tape and are investigating. Anyone in the area who may have witnessed the incident or have video captured on surveillance should contact Nashua police.
