Veterans Count Nashua 5K Fun Run & Walk Takes Place Sept. 11

The event will raise money for Easterseals NH's Veterans Count​ programs, which assist veterans, active service members and their families.

NASHUA, NH — Easterseals New Hampshire is offering a chance for local residents to participate in a race, raise money for a good cause and observe September 11.

The Veterans Count Nashua 5K Fun Run & Walk takes place at 9 a.m. on Sept. 11 and starts at Stellos Stadium, 7 Stadium Drive. The money raised will benefit Easterseals NH's Veterans Count programs, which assist veterans, active service members and their families.

Registration is available online and open until Sept. 9. The race is open to all, with free registration for veterans, service members, and kids aged 12 and under.

The Veterans Count website also offers people an opportunity to donate money to support Veterans Count programs and to purchase Veterans Count merchandise.

"With the Veterans Count 5K coming to Nashua, September 11 will be a day of remembrance and also a day of active support," said Kathy Flynn, Veterans Count senior director of development. "This fun race brings the community together and benefits programs that give our veterans assistance when no other resource is available."

The Nashua event is the fourth of five scheduled races in the Easterseals & Veterans Count Race Series.

The final series race of the season is the Penmen for Patriots 5K, which takes place Nov. 5 in Manchester. The first three series events were in Manchester, Portsmouth and Wolfeboro.
